General Terms and Conditions – European Health Forum Gastein 2021
The European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG), Tauernplatz 1, 5630 Bad Hofgastein, Austria is the organiser of the EHFG 2021, which will be held from 27 September 2021 to 01 October 2021 as an online conference. The EHFG Secretariat is responsible for registration services and is hereafter referred to as EHFG. These General Terms and Conditions are valid for each delegate registered for the European Health Forum Gastein 2021, hereafter referred to as the EHFG 2021.
The registration deadlines are as follows:
Online registration closes: 24 September 2021, 23:59 CET
Your online registration is complete once the registration details have been submitted and we have received your payment of the respective fees. If you wish to register after the deadline, please send an e-mail to email@example.com. In the case of a late registration, the EHFG cannot guarantee timely access to the conference content.
CONFERENCE FEES (excl. 10 % VAT)
Civil society & academia fee: Euro 100
Applies to staff principally employed by universities, patient organisations, and civil society NGOs chiefly concerned with collective action around a purpose distinctly divorced from public or commercial stakeholders' interests.
Government & administration fee: Euro 150
Applies to employees of ministries, intergovernmental organisations, supranational agencies, European Parliament, regional or local governments, national research institutes & national institutes of public health, national health services, and national professional chambers.
Standard fee: Euro 200
Applies to all participants not covered by the other fee categories.
The EHFG will issue the invoice according to the billing address entered by participants in the registration system. Organisations which have a VAT number and are not located in Austria will receive an invoice without VAT and are obliged to pay VAT in their respective country (reverse charge).
To successfully register for any category but the standard fee, you must submit a confirmation that you are principally employed at the organisation you are registering with. To this end, you can provide proof either in the shape of an official document in German or English declaring your affiliation, or a link to a current webpage confirming your affiliation.
European Health Forum Gastein reserves the right to define an organisation's or a participant's eligibility for a fee category on a case by case basis.
Registration for media representatives is generally free of conference fee. Please note that the number of media representatives is limited and requires accreditation. To register as a media representative, please contact the EHFG press office: firstname.lastname@example.org
Confirmation of registration
A registration confirmation/invoice will be sent by email after the completion of the online registration process and the related payment. Attendees will only receive their personal link to the online conference after the registration is completed and the payment is settled.
Payment is required at the time of registration. It should be made in Euro only, using one of the following options via the payment service provider Mollie:
1. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
2. Apple Pay
3. Electronic Payment Standard (EPS)
4. Instant bank transfer (SOFORT Überweisung)
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to email@example.com. A cancellation fee of 100% applies after participants receive their link to Brella and have access to the conference tool or after the registration closes on 24 September 2021 23.59 CET.
No refund will be made to registered participants who encounter internet connection or other technical problems during the online conference.
The official conference language of the EHFG 2021 is English.
Modification of the programme
The EHFG reserves the right to modify the programme after publication.
Data protection and sharing of contact details
The acquisition, handling and the utilisation of all personal registration data is executed within the guidelines of the Austrian data protection regulations.
Only authorised employees are permitted to access personal information for performing their duties in respect of our services. By registering to the EHFG 2021, the user agrees to be contacted by EHFG via email with information concerning participation in the event. Our server and network are protected by firewalls against unauthorised access and we have intrusion detection systems that monitor and detect unauthorised attempts to access or misuse our servers.
The organiser shall be held liable in the framework of a duty of care as a respectable businessman according to statutory provisions. The liability of the EHFG – for whatever legal reason – shall be limited to intent and gross negligence. The attendee shall take part in the conference at his/her own risk. Oral agreements shall not be binding if these have not been confirmed in writing by the EHFG.
Cancellation of the EHFG 2021
In the event that the EHFG 2021 cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the EHFG (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the EHFG, it cannot be held liable by attendees for any costs or losses incurred.
Under these circumstances, the EHFG reserves the right to retain the full registration fee and to use it against the participant’s registration fee for the EHFG 2022 upon request.
Place of jurisdiction
In the event of legal dispute arising from this agreement or in respect of the same, the partners to this agreement shall be subject exclusively to the law and jurisdiction of the local court competent to make judgement in such matters where the association is registered in Bad Hofgastein and shall refrain from seeking any other place of jurisdiction. The present agreement shall be governed by Austrian law, without regard to conflicts of law provisions.
